The challenge

A USA-based startup faced challenges in developing a mobile app to interface with their proprietary fitness band, an IoT device. The startup needed an app that could seamlessly connect to the fitness band via Bluetooth, accurately capture and display fitness data, and provide a user-friendly experience. The lack of such an app hindered the band's functionality, limiting its potential to attract and retain users. Without effective mobile connectivity and data visualisation, users could not fully leverage the fitness band's capabilities, resulting in poor user engagement and satisfaction.

What we built

Kirshi developed a robust mobile app for the USA-based startup, enabling seamless Bluetooth connectivity with their proprietary fitness band. This app captured and displayed real-time fitness data, such as steps taken, heart rate, and calories burned, in an intuitive and user-friendly interface. The app provided personalised fitness insights, progress tracking, and notifications, enhancing the overall user experience. By integrating IoT functionality with the mobile app, Kirshi enabled users to fully utilise the fitness band's features, significantly improving user engagement and satisfaction, and helping the startup effectively compete in the fitness tech market.

Outcome

The system went live on schedule and is in active use today. As with every Kirshi Technologies engagement, delivery was sprint-based with measurable milestones at each stage, and US-Based Startup retained full intellectual property ownership of all custom code from day one.
