AI Consulting & Readiness Assessment
A two-week engagement that tells you what is actually buildable with your data, what needs fixing first, and what it will cost — before you commit to a delivery budget.
What is an AI readiness assessment and why does it matter?
An AI readiness assessment is a structured audit of an organisation's data estate, infrastructure and proposed use case, conducted before any model development begins. It identifies whether the data required actually exists, is accessible and is of sufficient quality, and what infrastructure work must happen first.
This matters because the majority of enterprise AI projects that fail were compromised at this stage rather than during model development. Kirshi delivers the assessment as a fixed-fee two-week engagement producing three outputs: a technical and data readiness report, a recommended architecture, and a costed delivery roadmap. There is no obligation to continue with Kirshi for the build.
What is included.
Data Readiness Audit
An honest assessment of whether your data can support the use case you have in mind — coverage, quality, accessibility and governance.
Architecture Recommendation
A concrete target architecture covering data layer, model serving, evaluation and human escalation, sized to your actual scale.
Use Case Prioritisation
Ranking candidate use cases by value, feasibility and data availability, so the first project is one that can succeed.
Costed Delivery Roadmap
Phased delivery plan with realistic budget ranges and milestone definitions you can take to a board or budget holder.
Build vs Buy Analysis
Where an off-the-shelf product serves you better than a custom build, we will say so and name the products worth evaluating.
Governance & Risk Review
Model governance, audit trail, regulatory exposure and the explainability requirements your sector will impose.
What we build with.
How we deliver.
Kick-off & stakeholder interviews
Structured conversations with the people who own the data, the process and the budget — often the first time those three have been in one room.
Technical & data audit
Hands-on review of data sources, quality, infrastructure and existing systems, rather than a questionnaire exercise.
Analysis & option development
Candidate approaches costed and compared, including the option of doing nothing or buying rather than building.
Report & roadmap presentation
A written report and a live session with your stakeholders, leaving you with something you can act on independently.

No. The assessment is deliberately structured so the outputs are useful independently. Several clients have taken the roadmap and executed it with their in-house team, which is a perfectly good outcome.
It is a fixed fee agreed before the engagement begins, scoped to the size of the estate being assessed. There is no open-ended billing and no scope creep.
Then that is the finding, and we deliver it clearly. Recommending a rules engine, a better database or an off-the-shelf product is a legitimate outcome and considerably cheaper than discovering the same thing nine months into a build.
Typically the data owner, the process owner and the budget holder, plus whoever runs your infrastructure. The engagement is designed to be light on your team's time, around six to eight hours total across two weeks.
